I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
